Georgia Straight Cup Day 1 and 2 - Victoria Golf Club

A "friendly" 2-day event amongst top players from Lower Mainland region and Vancouver Island region competing for Georgia Straight Cup and big bragging rights. The event will have a similar format to the Ryder Cup, and will take place at Victoria Golf Club, the oldest 18-hole golf course in Canada.

Top 5 players on OOM at end of season qualify for Lower Mainland team for the Georgia Straight Cup.

About the Tournament

We look forward to seeing the top players of the Lower Mainland region and Vancouver Island region in "friendly" competition at the event.  Players are required to follow and adhere to the host club's COVID-19 safety protocols and mandates, course rules, dress code and etiquette.  

The Georgia Straight Cup will have a similar format to the Ryder Cup.  A total of 24 players will compete for huge bragging rights and the ultimate prize, Georgia Straight Cup.  Each regional team will have 12 players, consisting of the Top 5 players on the OOM, 3 Captains and 4 Captains' picks. To be eligible to participate a player must have played in at least one event in their region in the current tour season.  More details on the Georgia Straight Cup will be released later in the season.  Big thank you to Lindsay Bernakevitch and the Members at Victoria Golf Club for generously hosting this event.

Captains for the Vancouver Island Team are:  Lindsay Bernakevitch, Cailean Hourigan and Mark Bicknell
